The hospitality committee helps ensure that the church provides a welcoming environment for members, visitors, and guests; to enhance their worship experience; and to encourage fellowship to help build a community.
Worship Assistants
The first thing that happens when a person walks into a church is usually something that sticks with them long after they leave. Did anyone offer to shake their hand and introduce themselves? Did someone smile at them and hand them a bulletin? Did anyone engage them in conversation, ask if they were new, or invite them to stay for coffee? YOU could be that someone.
There are many opportunities to serve during worship, including: Welcome Center attendants, greeters, ushers, readers, communion servers, altar care, sound & projection, kitchen help for coffee hour, and holiday decorations.
Special Hospitality Events
Hospitality also means fellowship. On occasion we host fun special events such as the annual Christmas Progressive Dinner, game nights, and the North Saint Paul Parade. The hospitality team plans the event, recruits volunteers, and executes many of the tasks involved in putting on a church-wide event.
This committee is newly-formed and is always open to new faces to volunteer for a specific event or activity or to join the group. The only requirement is an enthusiastic willingness to work as a team.
